CHIC-A-BOOM ...
~an eccentric woman with extraordinarily memorable, often misunderstood but unmistakably distinctive style.

"It is my intent to showcase that which I consider wearable art.
Clothing that is whimsical, dramatic, avant-garde and on the
cutting edge of design - as seen through my eyes.
Brilliance and madness are interchangeable.
This is my style inspiration. I invite you into my world."

PLAYING DRESS-UP WITH - Ashley Smith

Veiled crown - Elizabethan "ruff" collar and cuffs. Double-breasted military jacket with gold piping with a ruffled under dress and gold buckled pumps. Worth Couture Giovanni Bedin, Roger Vivier - Mikimoto

Pearl studded crown - Deep blush spagetti strap rusched bodice with full length
tulle ballerina skirt. ~Atelier Versache/Mikimoto/David Yurman

Dior Haute Couture - vivid blue ballooned coat with blue leaf appliqué collar
Agent Provocateur lingerie - and perfectly matched shoes.

On the left - a stunning costume in diamond patterned fabric with exquisite tailoring reminiscent of a harlequin fanned cupcake.... and atop her head, a darling tipsy crown.
On the right- full length peek-a -boo, bowed gloves surrounded by a matching sheer birdcage cloak with matching ties. "Oh darling, is that your petticoat up around your neck:"

Superb braid and knotted detail. A most brilliant design!

A hat of beads and veiled bat wings. Simply divine.

Regal Decadence Ashley transforms into opulent royalty for photographer Sharif Hamza
in a mix of haute couture and lingerie for this baroque inspired shoot for Vogue Russia.

**I wouldn't be true to myself if I failed to point out the deep green and gold damask fabric background... that could be a wall in my house.

  1. These are incredible! I can't get over the intensity of the white birdcage cloak. You always have the best finds.
